Al-Beruni, a leading scholar, organizer and head of the Mamun Academy, was born on September 4, 973 in Kot, the ancient capital of Khorezm. His name is Muhammad, his father's name is Ahmad, and Beruni means his relative - nickname "Berun" - out of town. Abu Rayhan- "The Man of Rayhan" is his nickname. The word Abu Rayhan means "Merciful", "Merciful" in Arabic. Orphaned from his parents at a young age, Beruni was raised by the famous scholar Abu Nasr ibn Iraq, and received his primary and madrasa education in his hometown of Kot, becoming a great scholar.
Beruni also wrote a work on the history of Khorezm. This work, written in the treasury, is entitled "History of Khorezm", "On the news of Khorezm", "Famous people of Khorezm". The play tells the story of Khorezm from the conquest by Mahmud Ghaznavi (1017) to the Seljuk rule (1043). Although this unique work has not reached us, some information in the work is known to us through Abulfazl Bayhaqi's History of Bayhaqi.
